Bioluminescent Invertebrate

Here's my recent entry for COW. The topic this week was one of mine: "Bioluminescent Invertebrate". I'm not super happy with the result, but I'm glad I've gotten some painting in, I've been sort of inactive of late. Tthe topic I created partly as a challenge to myself, so I'm glad I at least tried even if I failed, in my books. I probably should have used more reference than I did.

    Umm, dude this might be in my top 3 i've ever seen you submit. why don't you like it?? the skirt thing is sick (and do i see a little intelligent sea creature there?) and it's a really original design. fuck reference material.

    Thanks nick. The reasons I don't like it are that the Balls come off as flatter than I wanted, and I think I rushed the rendering on the scales a lot. The tentacles and the skirt are what I ended up really happy with. It made me wish I had done more of the creature like that.
