Okay, time for a status update. I'm done muthafuckin' first year. As a result I'll be working on a bunch of shit for various different people. I have commissions coming up for a whole host of different people doing paintings, digital art and of course the TAP comic. I'm also just going to be working on regular stuff for my portfolio all summer as well (if I really want an internship at Ubisoft I'm gonna have to work hard as hell).
Here's the work in progress from below with another half hour to and hour of work done on it, going into detail on the dragon itself. I'll be finishing the wings today or tomorrow. Most likely tomorrow, then I can start on the rocks and the people, then I'll move on tho the sky and the lightning.
I'm pretty happy with how the dragon came out. The scale detail I thought was pretty good, the torso is a little vague but it works on this scale (the actual image I work on is 3 times the size of this one. This one is 1000 pixels wide, the one I work on is 3200, I just shrink it for your sakes). The blue on the face is just to highlight where I'm going to be putting some intense blue-white/dark contrast once the lightning is done properly. I really want to get the effect that this is a flash of lightning coming from its mouth, not just energy, so the contrast there is going to be really intense later, when I work back into it.

Actually Now Contains Dragons
Okay, so I haven't really gotten a chance to post new shit in a while. Its sort of crunch time around here, or rather crunch time is winding down. As a result the amount I've actually been able to work on over here has been limited. Combine that with the fact that my artistic motivation has been about nil lately and you get not a lot of results.
Here are two work in progresses. The first is a speed paint I did on some kind of storm wyvern. The second is one I worked on for longer but I really don't like how its going, I may start another one in the same vein, but less shitty.

Walking in Long Strides
Here's the ganglier earth elemental. I'm pretty happy with how these turned out having both been about 1 hour endeavors. I like to think of this one as being one which strides and the other as one which shambles. Anyway, back to work on the TAP comic. I'll have some more frames in the next week hopefully.

Class Over, Portfolio BEGIN!
Alright guys, here's an update.
So I've finished my classes and two piss easy exams lay on the 2 week horizon. I've signed up for all my courses for next year save one. That course is called Special Topics in Drawing: Narrative, Time and Story which I am very interested in but is currently full. I am on the waiting list. I think it'll prove useful for the future of this hopeful concept artist/illustrator.
So with that leaving me a couple of weeks to dick around I have an open slot to tablet about every day. That open slot being most of my waking time. Here is a drawing I finished actually just now. This was all done today. The sketch was done at about 9 this morning in about 20 minutes. The colouring took a lot longer, not because of any reason other than I had to do it all twice. This is why you save. After finishing over half of this drawing, without having saved it, photoshop crashed. So this is the second colour run of this drawing, which took about an hour to an hour and a half, which means my colour speed is improving greatly. Anyway, this is one of two earth elementals I designed. The other will follow in a day or two, depending on how lazy and forgetful I am.
Peace and love.

Intro Continued...
Here are the next two frames of the intro. Continuing on from before.
I'm not particularly proud of these ones. Particularly the "there were those that would resist" frame (technically the 5th frame of the comic) which I consider to still be a work in progress. Though I think that the other is decent enough for what it is. There are two variations on that one because I was experimenting with different rendering effects. Tell me which one you like more.
