Here's this week's Creature of the Week. The Giant Amphibious War Machine. The concept behind the theme was to create a freshwater, amphibious (as in land and water rather than the category defining frogs, toads, salamanders, newts and some other random creatures) creature that would be capable of defending bodies of water from others in the far future where water is less plentiful and more hoarded.
My concept in particular was to create a creature which would intake the water and would use thermal pockets within its body to superheat the water and spray it back out in the form of steam. Anyway, here's the drawing...

The REAL Cookie Monster
This week I entered into the Creature of the Week competition again. The topic this week was "The Real Cookie Monster" wherein you had to re-imagine the cookie monster as some kind of creature. I came up with this little guy... the background is half-assed but I think the creature itself turned out pretty good.

Self Portrait Etc.
Hey guys. Four images today. All of them are in progress images and I will likely ditch at least 2 of them. Two of these are for Creature of the Week. One was the previous week where I was trying out a more experimental style trying to do a 'beautiful rebirth' for the Tatari-Gami from Princess Mononoke. The other is for this week's competition 'the real cookie monster'. There's also my in progress self-portrait which I've clocked about an hour and a half on. The last drawing is a fantasy trope that I can't help but love. I've always been a sucker for the warrior chick w/dragon. I mean, I know that being a dragon, I would keep company with hot warrior chicks if I could. Anyway, I'm going to draw that despite the horrible fantasy stereotype it is, I've also clocked about an hour and a half on this one.
